Quake in Chile

The earth is ever changing and a perfect example of that is the movement of tectonic plates as the crust shifts. The result of that can be seen with the 7.7 magnitude quake felt in Chile on Wednesday, November 14, 2007.

MSRA (Staph) Scare

There has been a lot of publicity over MSRA (an antibiotic-resistant strain of a Staphylococcus bacterium). Commonly known as a Staph infection, this new strain has caused a health scare because of the fact that it caused more deaths this year than the AIDS virus.

Logic>Emotion

There are many types of arguments when one is trying to get something. Between emotional arguments and logical arguments, I have to say that I prefer the logical arguments. I did not know I had a preference until a professor brought it up to me that I should be a lawyer.

Here's Your Future

"Here's Your Future" by the Thermals at first seems like a religious message. The song uses the Biblical stories of Noah and Jesus to illustrate their points. Most of us familiar with these stories see them in a positive light in the Christian religion.

Never Heard of JSTOR

Having never used JSTOR before, I first visited the link on its main page that says "About JSTOR" and read JSTOR description. I found out that this particular database specializes in archival storage of a wide variety of journals.
